The phenomenon of twin births in humans has fascinated people throughout history. There are two primary types of twins, which twins trivia will show to be fraternal, or identical. To scientifically differentiate, these are referred to as monozygotic or dizygotic, which refers to the method in which the separate lives were conceived. A monozygotic twin is when a single fertilized egg divided in two. A dizygotic twin is when two separate eggs have been fertilized.
